DOOM may have transitioned but his work will continue to inspire. This mix/comp is dedicated to the man that held down a culture with his music. Also to those that were there for him when he needed it. These tracks stood out to me for different reasons but the common theme is the feeling of an unencumbered expression. The intro is an excerpt from a 2011 sit down with Chairman Mao where DOOM articulates his way of freeing himself from part of the coercion of the capitalist machines that control the music industry.
