Spotted last night at Santos Party House in NYC. I was anticipating seeing the La The Darkman performance but it surely disappointed. Despite the energy from LAD and Willie The Kid, no MC should ever rhyme over their own vocals on stage. AZ and Nature were dope and Cormega was the highlight of the night. One of the best live acts out there. And I’ve seen a lot. He also performed a new track with Nature and some verses from the new album. Needless to say, FIRE!

Had the chance to see Edan perform in Brooklyn last week and, as usual, always a great live show. He even busted out this audio device that creates different sounds based on the proximity of your hand. I’ve seen him use it at previous shows. Too difficult to explain. Peep the video for “Rock and Roll” below to see what I mean. Peace to Peter Agoston and Chairman Mao in the building. Be sure to watch the videos at 1080p for maximum grandgoodness.

Not all in on these kids but keeping an ear at attention. Definitely hear some joints. I think I might be too removed from youthful wildin’ though. I enjoy a more focused, self-righteous sense of anarchy. As I’ve been taking in this OFWGKTA aesthetic I get somewhat annoyed because they too often remind of the murdering thugs from Gomorrah, in style and consequence. But I do appreciate what they’re doing and what they’ve accomplished so far.

Can’t really mess with this, I just find it curious Fab threw his weight behind it. Unfortunately it reminds me of that one Jamiroquai song. Oddly though I’ve watched this a few times already. I hope it doesn’t grow on me. I’m from Queens though so it’s all good, I don’t have to get it right away, or ever, right?
