It sounds promising, a wiki dedicated to audiophiles and their vacuum tubes and signal to noise ratio. The thing is, why initiate a separate wiki when you could just as effectively build on top of the already existing body of work available via wikipedia? I’ve often contemplated starting a wiki. I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to have a wiki dedicated to hip-hop? Maybe a wiki that focuses on lyrics, to better crowd-source for accuracy? But ultimately I always decided against it. The benefit of wikipedia’s size of contributors outweighs the personalization, at least it seems that way to me now. But maybe I’m wrong? Maybe a highly focused and quality-assured micro-wiki can work? Link
