This Is The Life, documentary on the movement that exploded from The Good Life Cafe, is going to premiere at the Pan African Film Festival on February 9th. They have also submitted entries to SXSW, GenArt, Tribeca, FullFrame, True/False, Silverdocs and NXNE so hopefully non-LA heads will also get an opportunity to see this soon!
Hi Fam,
THIS IS THE LIFE, a feature-length documentary about the Good Life and the LA underground hip hop movement, will make its World Premiere at the 2008 Pan African Film Festival.
The screening will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 8PM at the Magic Johnson Theaters on Crenshaw, just blocks from the site of the original Good Life Cafe in LA.
Tickets will be available online next week at www.paff.org or at the MJT box office starting February 7.
For more info on the film, hit up the MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/goodlifelove.
Hope to see the whole Good Life/Project Blowed family there in force, along with anyone who loves the music. Let’s celebrate the roots of our movement.
Much Love,
AVA
