Disappointing to come across so many instances of this simplistic and biased point of view on the suit filed by Lord Finesse against Mac Miller’s camp. Let’s be quick. If you murder someone I love, good chance I’ll be hurt, angry, vengeful. I’ll wish it never happened. People might even think I have good reason to be against murder. But would it be far fetched if, at some point, I end up murdering back? Finesse isn’t a priest and hip-hop isn’t a religion based on the ideology of freedom of artistic reinterpretation. He is a man who helped build up an industry and in return had his livelihood trampled on by wealthy, more powerful players. He is a man. A man. Not a hypothetical. Not a professor. Not a philosopher. A man. Mac Miller and mixtape pushers wanna play this game? Well this is it. And no fucking way that Finesse doesn’t have the right to play.
