An ongoing joke now is how twitter has revealed how jerkish, jaded and just plain ol’ uninteresting some of your favorite artists are. Wendy Day zeros in on how disappointing and repulsive this can be but I’m not sure the implied counter move, keeping a lid on the improved transparency, would be such a good thing. But of course this is because I’m mostly a consumer, and would rather know what I’m really dealing with. But yeah, if you’re a brand guardian, yes, telling your clients to stfu seems like pretty good advice. And no, I don’t think she’s referring to yesterday’s Mobb Deep fiasco in her comments, the timing is off, but I guess I could be wrong.
