Last night I was super excited to be able to sit down and listen to the Squeeze Radio Show live, the time difference in New Zealand makes this hard (pause) sometimes. But that excitement soon turned to shock when Sucio opened the show with the announcement that WKCR are looking at canceling the radio show, which would then make the 20th anniversary show the last.

Now the reason for cancelation seems to be based on a few complaints from people who think the show should be done by students from Columbia University and to add Insult to Injury they assured Sucio the “RAP Show” would continue.

I am not going to go into detail way canceling Squeeze Radio is such a bad idea as you the listeners already know why. But we can fight this and support Sucio by letting WKCR know that what they are about to do is wrong and the effect it could have on Hip-Hop in New York and around the world.
