If you visit her site and check the latest node having to do with the NYTimes interview, you can hear what sounds like a woman, presumably reporter Lynn Hirschberg, introducing the idea of Truffle fries to M.I.A.. That would mean the spin in the red-head’s article is not only distasteful but misleading, a NYTimes no-no. Tsk, tsk. More interestingly for me though is the song M.I.A. has crafted as a response to Lynn and the situation titled Haters. It carries a well balanced, powerful tune with not much over-reaction, the latter being a characteristic some seemed to think was implied because of her quick twitter response to the article that included the reporter’s personal phone number.
