Although it seemed to be more of knee jerk, short sighted, defense mechanism to try and overcome confusion and shame, I would still tend to agree with “…do judge people for being arrogant about their ignorance…”. Or maybe judge is too strong, but definitely, at least, call them out. Preferably in a mockingly and entertaining way.
