other than you, something brand new:

I was just thinking about how I tend to tolerate the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson mostly because of the host’s agreeable Scottish accent (his show was on the mind ’cause we got the email blast that Rza will be on tomorrow night). And then a few minutes later I happened to get an email from Chima Anya, one half of the UK indie group, GTA (they wanted to be themselves, remember?). So I’ve listened to the song a few times in a row trying to determine what it is I’m diggin? The beat? The rhymes? The British accent? Joe Budden shouts? Apparent amicability?

Chima Anya – C
A Melancholy lament, orchestrated by Samiyam.
The next track from the Chima Anya mixtape.

    NEXT LEVEL SHIT

There is no way that Samiyam would approve of this. If he wanted a rapper on his instrumentals, he would’ve put one on there. Chima, leave it.

THIS IS HEAT. to the hater, Chima dealt with you over at his myspace “all these cats that claim they about hiphop that are hating are the SAME cats that would have stifled hiphop’s early growth  talking about “if Isaac Hayes wanted a rapper on his shit he would have put one of there”. SONNED

    Dear samiyamfan,
The early growth of hip-hop began from the repetition of breaks or beat juggling. Sampling of others music. Placing your rhymes onto someone’s purposeful instrumental beat..is not the same as Isaac Hayes asking for a rapper on his song…. because it is sampled. Various forms of music across many genres, especially classical, do not require a vocal part. Samiyam’s musical genious, is as such.

LOL at ‘ some cats literally eat sleep hatin’. This track just sounds like a real cat vibin to a joint he digs. And it sounds pretty damn good.

BIG TUNE! allow the nerds talking rubbish – i’m sure there were some over zealous elitists who got mad when Dre looped Leon Haywood’s “I Wanta Do Something Freaky to You” and “Uphill (Peace of Mind)” for “Nuthing but a G thang” but that shit is classic music B!!! Samiyam Stans need to fall back, I would go as far as saying that beat DID required a vocal as without vocals the music doesn’t have the variation of classical music to keep listeners (unless STONED off their faces) interested. plus i ain’t even know who sam was till C rocked this beat!
