From RMXXOLOGY. Tone Loc was supposedly the first African American hip-hop artist (and member of the Crips?) to have a number one album on the Billboard charts. I always thought his voice was solid on record.

    Apparently Barry was in a gang called the Businessmen which like the Gladiators, etc. etc. became Bloods and Crips.
