Think I might have to hit this up, even with the long commute from Brooklyn. Too hard to pass up on EPMD, Large Professor, Biz Markie and others! Link (via)
Legendary Hip-Hop collective Rock Steady Crew (RSC) will celebrate 30 years of existence with a free concert featuring rap duo EPMD.
The show, which takes place at 1 p.m. on July 29 at Lincoln Park in Newark, New Jersey will cap off a series of events that kick off July 23 in Manhattan and the Bronx. “After 30 years we’re proud to say that we’re still going strong,” said RSC president Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon. “For the anniversaries we want to focus on all aspects that make Hip-Hop the social force that it is. This is about education and entertainment. With crew battles, hot DJs, panels and live graffiti shows our 30th promises to showcase everything Hip-Hop represents.”
In addition to EPMD, the concert will feature performances from Keith Murray, Ras Kas, Large Professor, Grand Master Mele Mel, Biz Markie, Planet Asia and Polyrhythm Addicts.
