Though he’s an unlikely ‘Billboard’ chart-topper, noted scholar Dr. Cornel West has plans to release a new CD project in the near future.
Titled ‘Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations,’ the project is expected to feature an assortment of collaborations from music giants such as Prince and the late Gerald LeVert to rootsy rappers Talib Kweli, Rhymefest and hip-hop veteran KRS-1.
The project will also include a politically charged debate, scored-to-music, on the many issues surrounding the use of the “N-word,” featuring West, multimedia personality Tavis Smiley and best-selling author and professor Dr. Michael Eric Dyson.

Dr. West is not a “star”, he’s an ICON. His previous CD Sketches of our culture was great! I am looking forward to hearing his latest work…and hoping that the “N-word” cut is a sequel to the last CD’s version.
