Another vinyl plant bites the dust. This time in Albany. I wonder what they did with the machinery? Link

The former Universal Music record manufacturing plant in the town of Johnstown has been purchased for $1.625 million by investors who want to convert the facility into a water bottling operation.

The Universal Music plant, which made vinyl records for parent company Universal Music Group and other buyers, ceased production in April 2005, putting about 150 people out of work. The plant had been in existence since 1964.
