I am pretty fortunate. I got to see Wu-Tang Clan Live at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Valentine’s Day. I won’t go into some long drawn-out review of how I felt during the performance. I won’t go into how dope it was to see the surviving eight members go through classic after classic for 90 minutes. I won’t go into how it felt to sense everyone’s energy as we all screamed at the top of our lungs every line for every verse for every song. I won’t go into how great it was to see ODB’s mom on stage getting a tribute from the crowd as countless lighters and cell phone screens shattered through the dark venue, all while the group performed Shimmy Shimmy Ya and Brooklyn Zoo in almost total darkness. I won’t go into how cool it was to see the group clowning around on stage, squelching any rumors of tensions and grumblings between the members. And lastly, I won’t go into how it felt after the show was done and everyone had left the stage. Instead, I will post some pictures someone else took. Someone who was much closer than I was. I will also post an unofficial set list from what I can remember.
