THE THREE OBJECTIVES OF THE SAVE DARFUR TOUR:
EDUCATION
Since 2004, genocide in Sudan has claimed the lives of 400,000 men, women, and children. 2 million live in makeshift tents without clean food or water. The systematic killing continues, while the global community sits largely comatose in the face of this atrocity. The problem is not necessarily apathy; rather, it is lack of awareness of the situation. The tour will educate an incredibly receptive audience about the devastating state of Darfur through perhaps the most universally understood and empowering language: music.100% FUNDRAISING
Every last cent of money raised by the tour will be directly donated to non-profits in place to supply aid to the refugees of the genocide. The money will be donated in the name of the tour sponsor(s), which can serve as a 501(c)3 tax write-off, if desired. Sponsors of the tour also receive innumerable promotional and advertising benefits with their contributions.CALL-TO-ACTION
It is time to take action. Time to reject passively accepting the situation in Darfur. Time to realize that we have the power and responsibility to save the lives of hundreds of thousands that need our help. Time to create the type of world, free of violence, in which we want to live.
