You might recall that around this time last year a rumor began to infest the re-blogverse that claimed Panasonic was going to discontinue the manufacturing of their beloved 1200s. Eventually it was confirmed as false by a Panasonic spokesperson. Now we have a new foreign issued, third party, statement claiming, in strikingly similar fashion, that the turntables will again be discontinued for similar reasons (declining sales blah, blah). I won’t believe it until I see something official from a more reliable source (no offense to Gizmodo of course, or CNet previously. Speed over fact checking, 3rd party culpability, easy retractabilty, I get it). Link
