I went back and re-listened to this track produced and mixed by Grandmixer DXT after hearing OG Chino from The Block radio thank DXT for the mentoring back in the days in both hip hop and in sharing information about a new world order. Another thing I find interesting about Grandmixer DXT (aside from his part in restoring the lost Thelonious Monk Quartet/John Coltrane at Carnegie recording) has been his mission to become a hip hop history revisionist, also mentioned in last year’s in-depth interview with the Old School Radio hour . This song is off Bill Laswell’s Altered Beats compilation from 1996 which was also where I heard Invisibl Skratch Piklz recordings for the first time.
