greetings fam,
i’m a few days late on this but here’s the latest edition in my monthly mixtape series. my first few years here i was roommates with the infamous DJ Center – if you live in new york, then you know Center, one of the illest and hardest working djs here in the city the past several years. we’ve been meaning to do a tape for awhile, but our schedules never let it happen until now.
this tape is pretty eclectic – mostly underground-ish hip-hop, beats, with a couple originals thrown in…it’s basically certain records that me and Center used to bump and vibe to around the crib. one of us would bring home a record, and the other would be like, “oh shit!” …some of this stuff is good music, some of it is great production, and some of it is just humorous, funny stuff that got a good laugh and takes us back to when we used to go diggin in the east village in ’99. hope yall dig it.
first side is me, second side is Centro…and our landlord sets it off. i’ll have a track list up on myspace shortly.
