According to his journal, super multi-talented and under-appreciated musician/producer/mc, Count Bass-D is getting ready to tour Japan later this month and he’s bringing some tshirts.
“Count Bass been reppin’ Ca$hville for ten years…”
Signed to Sony in 94, he dropped Pre-Life Crisis using live instrumentation, playing most of the instruments himself. With recent releases like Dwight Spitz in 2002 and the limited run (but available as a Japanese import) BegBorrowSteal, he used MPCs and SP1200s and made it clear he could make great music without the live instruments. (As opposed to some hip hop cats who go from samples to live instruments hoping to break some ground…)
