SPINTRONIX’s Chris Miguel and Dino Rivera – Computer Mix

On June 24, 1988, AA Productions hosted its biggest, and much anticipated show “Summer Girls Showcase” at the San Jose Civic Auditorium.

This historic event attracted over 3,600 people from all over Northern California; and featured Sweet Sensations (Hooked on You, Take It While It’s Hot), Sequal (I’m Over You), and Afro-Rican (Give it All You Got) and many of the Bay Area’s legendary mobile DJ crews.

SPINTRONIX’s Chris Miguel and Dino Rivera paid homage to the pioneering and influential electronic music band Kraftwerk with their “Computer Mix.” Their set-up consisted of:

– Commodore Amiga 500 computer with pre-programmed 16 bit samples- Casio CZ-101 keyboard- 1900 Numark mixer and two 1200s

(Chris was on the computer while Dino was in the mix)
