5. If you could do anything in your career over again, what would it be, if any and why?
I wish I understood that was called a Music BUSINESS. As a seventeen year old, I had no business skills whatsoever. The Kangol Headwear company threatened to sue me for adopting their brand as my professional name and later dropped their threat and befriended me when they realized that every city I appeared in, their product sales were increasing so the legally allowed me to continue the usage provided that I do nothing to discredit their brand. If I understood the business at that time, I would have turned that moment into one of the biggest deals in my life as a possible shareholder or something. Not to mention the frenzy we caused with the Roxanne phenomenon. I would have trademarked that name and created dolls, perfume, clothing line and a cartoon show called ‘Roxanne”. Don’t let me get my hands on a time machine.
