Directed by Konee Rock. (via Rock The Dub)

This 1998 piece was a preliminary concept originally intended to be part of my unreleased film How We Chill: The Incomplete Chicago Hip Hop Documentary.

I originally put this together when I was 18, from interviews I had shot over the two previous years (’96-’97).
This is actually the first thing I ever legitimately edited (excluding VCR to VCR) and one of my favorite segments I’ve ever compiled for both sentimental and aesthetic reasons.

It’s simply, “Hip Hop”, as defined by legends and prominent figures of the Chicago Hip Hop scene.”
