Even though I haven’t been to Fat Beats in quite a while (I still buy tons of vinyl so chill out), I decided to stop by and pay my respects. And see Sadat X, A.G., DJ Scratch and DJ Premier perform. Much to my surprise, the ensuing madness that is the picture above was what I encountered. I couldn’t even get anywhere near the door yo! It was so crazy, in fact, that Five-O almost shut the whole day down. The only thing that prevented that from happening was DJ Eclipse coming downstairs (several times) and playing traffic cop with all the people outside. I didn’t stay very long so I’m not sure how Eclipse’s new profession turned out but from the pictures around the web, it looks like the Hip-Hop Police let the show go on. As for me, I said what up to Natty, Thirstin Howl and DJ JS-1, grabbed me a couple of Grey’s Papaya hot dogs and was out to get me some Shake Shack burgers. Ahhh the sacrifices I have to make…
