No disrespect to Wall or Wolf but the focus here for my discerning east coast ears are Rae and Jay. Doubt that fans of either foresaw a collaboration, although the extent to which either was aware of their joint contribution to this song is unknown to me. If I had to guess I’d say they were probably not aware of each other’s presence but I still can’t help but compare the two since both excel consistently at their craft and, lest we forget, this is a competitive sport, right?…..Then again, I guess this isn’t a good example of an MC duel. But at the very least we have to recognize that substantively, Jay’s worldliness is a consistent and effective distinguishing factor. Link (via)
