2 Live Crew front man and recent VH1 Hip-Hop Honoree wants to see Kagan confirmed, especially considering she once wrote a brief that somewhat defended the sale of the As Nasty As They Wanna Be album. Haven’t heard too many other artists chime in on her nomination, although I did unfortunately come across this embarassing Washington Post attempt at rap humor, her confirmation hearing speech reworked to rhyme. They call it a rap but that’s ’cause they don’t know shit about rap (fine, I’ll be nice and point out that there’s a good chance the copy editor of the failed Public Enemy 911/9-11 article was likely to blame, and not the original author. Unless of course the paper and copy editor are just trying to salvage Akeya Dickinson’s career prospects. Either way, the paper might consider treading more carefully). Link (via)
