Stetch says about the set: This was by no an attempt at reinventing the wheel, as most of the tunes here are pretty much common knowledge. But what you can’t see from the listing, or hear from the recording, was how OFF people were going at this party. I haven’t played many of these songs in a long time, and it really took me back to another time, which was fitting because so many heads that I used to see at the clubs regularly in NYC were there. For the record, the song that got everyone out of there seats, and lit up the room like I couldn’t believe was “Ride Like The Wind”. Yikes! (Dom pointed out that it is indeed Michael Macdonald singing backups on it, and Eli insisted I put on “Long Train Running” even though we’d still file that under “unplayable due to excessive play”).
