“What is a Grandmaster? A Grandmaster is the the head of a military order of knighthood, the head of a lodge, the head of a fraternal order or some other secret society”
Hip Hop & Freemasonry: Culture Creation & The Shape of Things To Come is a recent addition to the hip-hop & conspiracy canon that, unlike the typical artists’ perspective, claims to explore the connection of Hip-Hop’s origins and popularity to the secret societies that attempt to mass-indoctrinate the world. And although less interesting than the New Age & Military Agenda or the Hip Hop Culture as Conditioning towards Perpetual Childhood (which is actually able to present a worthwhile theme by basically hijacking Neil Postman’s theories on mass media), I suppose the creators (members of the last refuge to freely discuss ways to reclaim our humanity) deserve some amount of credit for their ability to craft stories and for the amount of time they must have spent collecting and editing all this damn footage. I mean damn, either they are some of the biggest stans around or…well, they kinda have to be stans. Interestingly, its not offensive (which I was totally expecting) and somewhat entertaining, in a funny and nostalgic way.
