(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper/budding politician Che “Rhymefest” Smith is currently in the hospital at risk of being a diabetic coma, after he was unexpectedly diagnosed with diabetes.

“We want to ensure that it’s fair and that every vote is counted, and that people who didn’t live in the ward of vacant lots weren’t people who were voting. We want to make sure that the 20th Ward voices are heard,” Smith said.

“This election is not final tonight, and that’s the truth,” said Fred Bates, Smith’s attorney. “I don’t know whether Alderman Cochran has declared victory or not, but we make no concessions.”

I DIDN”T DO THIS! And none of my niggaz would either. I don’t know who this cat is. But if one of yall out there is good with computers find this dude 4 he do damage to more then just me. The mood was serious when Rhymefest took the floor. He told the capacity crowd that rappers always freestyle and that they need to do more. He said it was important to strive to be great and not successful. So instead of freestyling he said he wanted to take his time and show the type of conversation a father should have with his son.

He said before coming to the floor he had asked his 10 year old son named Solomon to write down 5 questions that he would like answered that he had never asked before. Rhymefest would do the same and together they proceeded to open up and have a heartfelt, deeply personal conversation in front of us all. By the time the two were done there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. To say the least it was groundbreaking and the audio doesn’t do this justice. The spirit in the room was moving as evidence by grown men being touched so much that they broke down and I’m sure many made a decision to strengthen the bond between them and their own children.

I hope some of y’all caught the FREE Black Sheep show over the weekend. If not, too bad cause Dres killed it. When I walked into the venue, a rock band called Uninvited Guests were already performing. From far away, the lead singer looked like Kid Rock so I thought I made a wrong turn somewhere coming up the stairs. Nope, I was at a Black Sheep show. They were decent though. The turnout was miserable considering it was FREE admission. I managed to get right in front with ease. After a short set by DJ Wex, Dres came out. He didn’t waste any time talking and went straight into some classic tracks like Flavor Of The Month, Strobelite Honey, Butt In The Meantime and, of course, The Choice Is Yours (Revisited). Dres also performed material off his new album 8WM/Novakane. Some dope, some not so dope. And if the set wasn’t good enough, he brought out special guests like Rhymefest and Ladybug Mecca (of Digable Planets). Videos on the way. Hopefully.
