Founding member of the original Jazzy 5 MCs, Leon Heyward was known as M.C. Sundance. His heroic acts immediately after the terrorist attacks on September 11th were commemorated at this year’s memorial ceremony. Unfortunately he passed away last year due to complications that arose from his exposure to the contaminated dust and smoke.

Circa ’91 he put out a record called “America’s Gonna Fall”, produced by Jazzy Jay. Ten years later a piece of America did fall.
