JB d’Mulatto, co-host of The Hed Rush Radio reflects on the early days of recording with Eminem as a member of the group The Anonymous on the song “Green and Gold” in 1998. At the 24:00 mark of the show he revisits memories of working closely with Eminem with limited resources in a normal middle-class lifestyle to lay the foundation which would eventually turn him into the famous Aftermath Records artist you know today.

Audio I recorded from the free Jay Electronica show earlier tonight at Santos. Just like at the Governors Island show, he ripped it despite being a little tipsy. F*ck the haters, he’s an entertaining dude live. Jay also reveals that he’s working with Pete Rock and Eminem of all people on a few upcoming “Exhibit” tracks! Dope! link

The thing that makes me not get behind weezy 100% is the look on his face. I get the feeling he thinks he’s saying something of significance or lasting pertinence for society instead of just drunk rapping. He strains to get it out like as if we give a damn.

Well, this version sounds finished. The email we received this afternoon said it was “probably” the final version. I would guess that’s the official stance at this point since the source is reputable (same place we get all our Shady Records blasts from). But who know’s where it’ll end up? The MTV interview said this track wasn’t scheduled for Relapse or Detox. Ah, who gives a ish anyway. Good to hear new Eminem. Dre and 50 seem a bit dull but that might just be my personal bias.

On Friday, an unfinished Eminem and Dr. Dre track labeled “Number One” hit the Internet. The leaked song is going to be featured on Big Mike and Neptune’s upcoming 4th Quarter Pressure Part 2. The track finds Em apparently referring to verses that Dr. Dre may rap in the finished version. According to a source close to the Shady/Aftermath camps, the record was never meant to make it off the cutting-room floor, and it’s not currently scheduled to be on either Eminem’s Relapse or Dr. Dre’s Detox. We also found out that the official title for the record is “Breaking Bottles.”

This is a very rare Eminem and Proof freestyle. This was an interview that was done with Kurt Loder on MTV when Eminem was coming up. They took the Finale of the show to a freestyle in a car where Eminem and Proof actually freestyle; something that a lot of you emcees “claim” to do now-a-days.

As you can see, this is documented proof of how well Eminem & Proof meshed when they freestyled together. I apologize to all Proof fans for depriving you of this classic video for so long. I actually ripped this from MTV.com many many years ago with an old realplayer video ripper called x-fileget, which doesn’t work anymore. R.I.P. Proof and much love and condolensces to his family and friends.
