Someone was asking me about this back and forth between Cage and Vast Aire the other night. This track is apparently the latest diss from Vast. He also recently wrote a long explanation about the beef right here. I can’t imagine El-P “censoring” anything but what do I know. Although Cage’s last record is arguably the “cleanest” attempt at “dark” music I’ve heard.

If it wasn’t so early in the morning would I be writing all these questions? But why is this coming out now around the same time as Eminem? Oh shit, illuminati is out for hip-hop? A triple wave covert war on rap? First Ashless for the kids who don’t know better, then Slim for the traditionalists, and now this? Damn, they nice with theirs.

Seeing as how Transformers 2 is gearing up for release I figure this pic is timely, even though it’s from the set of the first T movie (this is where I would insert no homo if I was 15). This afternoon DejJux announced the first official leak from Cage’s upcoming album. They point to Tom Breihan’s wordy Pitchfork intro but the download link is dead. You can still stream it so don’t know what the denial of access is about. I guess you could still cop it for free from the DefJux site (that would make sense right?) but you would have to waste life by registering and checking out through their online music emporium. Good thing the homie Vega, who stays on top of these things, reupped it for us.
