No comment. ‘Cause it’s not my place to say this bites. People might confuse my words and think I dislike C-Rayz, but that’s not it. I just dislike this track, and am perplexed as to why he would do it. Although, I’m not the biggest Walz fan neither. But he has some spit. Remember those freestyles he would do at shows? Yeah, I think I rather not write anything. But then, if I don’t write anything, people might think I dig this. Not that I just find it curious. What should I do?

Indie hip-hop icon C-Rayz Walz teams up with fresh-faced, yeshiva-trained wordsmith Kosha Dillz for twelve tracks that mix freestyle and written rhymes, classic and new-school beats, and the frantic, fast-paced energy of a single, manic 24-hour recording session to produce, yes, “Freestyle Vs. All you need to send is a one-page bio, a 3-song CDR and $35. Not exactly sure what the money covers but it sounds like a great chance for someone to blow up. To commence the 1st Annual Legendary Axe Tour and give back to the Hip Hop community that has provided so much love and admiration for its artists, we will be offering an opening spot on the entire tour to one lucky Emcee, Group, and/or R&B vocalist. The winner of this contest will receive a check for $3,000-$5,000 plus have all of their travel and stay accommodations taken care of by Legendary Axe during the duration of the tour. The deadline for entry is Friday May 9, 2008.

1) All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
2) We will not exclude any applicants based on geography, race, or gender. This contest is open to those worldwide and will be judged based strictly on talent.
3) Applicants must either be (i) a solo rap artist, (ii) an r&b artist, or (iii) a group or collective of no more than four (4) people.
There will be a panel of 5 judges from separate labels affiliated with the tour that will collectively vote on who they believe is the best.
4) The top 10 candidates will receive notice from Legendary Axe one week after the May 9, 2008 deadline. These names will also be made public on the tour website.
5) The winner will be notified 1-2 weeks prior to the beginning of the tour.

The multi-talented Socalled recently released another fun video for a track from his Ghettoblaster lp. This is the one that has C Rayz Walz rhymin’ sporadically (which you can still download by the way). The video is nice on the eyes, music good to the ears. (via)
