I hear that, so it seems everything comes to an end. Wu-Tang will always be one of my most favorite groups. However, I've always felt that the Wu had been the in the position for many years to do something remarkable, something unprecedented in Hip Hop. I expected them to put out a "Black Album" of their own, but independently (they had the means, didn't they?). A venture like that would've made them financial juggernauts and would've been the biggest middle-finger to an industry and media that for decades has taken advantage of artists and for the most part pushed music that perpetuates messages of hedonism and over indulgence to the hip hop youthful, the "future old heads". I've been disappointed with their efforts post "Forever." 8 Diagrams was cool, but felt rushed and not as cohesive as past projects. Its almost unworthy of being their final collaboration. But when its all said and done, the Wu has given a lot to Hip Hop, yet personally, their legacy still feels incomplete and seems doomed to be lost in the muck of the "here today, gone tomorrow" mindset that is rampant in our society. I guess this news only serves as a reminder that nothing is forever. Peace.

guys, these dudes arent starvin anymore...they dont need to make the music anymore.a hard fact to accept? maybe. we all want to root for the old school champions, but the fights are fixed now. there's more money to be made in movie scoring.one is ready to do business on the highest level, and the others arent feelin that for some reason.time to move on until the time is right. and when it is we can all enjoy it all over again .. until then,i got my cd's. fuckit.

i guess if they perform together they're still wu-tang clan. but think about when the beatles broke up. when john lennon bounced and decided not to record as "beatles" any more. wasn't that really the beginning of the end? if there is no forseeable "wu-tang clan" album, is there a wu-tang clan?

I wouldn’t say they broke up just because there aren’t going to be any more group albums. That’s just a business decision. I think if Rza said he would never tour or do a show with Wu-Tang Clan in the future, then Wu as a group would be no longer.
