really, i thought the shooting and the not guilty verdicts were the 2 incendiary acts.

i want to know how people plan to respond, if at all. that's not incendiary.

to me, “what are you going to do about it” wasn't an incendiary remark but should be the important question we ask ourselves when presented with a major problem that has no apparent solution.

this is the point of my stuff white people like remark too... not to bash my race or criticize the stuff white people like site but say hey how about people focus on the real evil in the world instead of the same safe bullshit shit every week.

personally i have no idea what should be done about the sean bell verdict, but my frustration at my own lack of answers, makes me want to explore the question. i was hoping that a provocative question would garner a response or even a critique of the question. unfortunately i havent been so good at getting responses when directly asking my readers important questions. perhaps because i sound too incendiary.

in any case, i plan to follow up on the same topic in the following week by asking a bunch of people what they think should be done about it, listening to their responses and seeing if we can create a decent discussion out of it.

Daaang G. I thought MY posts be long. Imma have to get this in the am, post-fresh cup of coffee. From the immediate looks of it, you seem to be struggling with the issues, which is something that very few of us try and do nowadays.

<br>
    i am surprised that what i wrote this morning moved you this much. thank you for taking the time to read and respond to almost every line. i enjoy your writing as you seem to have an uncanny ability to balance your derogatory comments with thoughtful remarks which makes for an entertaining read. i am relieved we do not disagree on anything significant. and i am sorry i probably won’t get around to expounding on all my thoughts for you. but i will take the time right now to suggest that you probably shouldn’t compare racialism with racism. i do believe in race but i try not to give in to the tendency to let my blood and color be my defining quality. again, i have nothing against racial identification or racial consciousness, just racial prejudice.
<br>
    you pose lots of interesting questions which i appreciate and i plan to think about but i apologize again as i can not get to all of them at this time. the one theme i will address briefly is your reoccurring claim that my ideas are convoluted, lead to nowhere, vague, exercise in futility etc. i do not claim to be a sociologist or any professional scientist for that matter. sh __t, i’m not even a writer. and therefore i do not perform surveys or studies. my thoughts and ideas are limited to my experience and my readings. i only attempt to express my ideas, which i admit are not always clear even in my own mind, in a thoughtful and sincere way. race and culture are not these easily communicable concepts and i’m not about to dedicate my life to finding all the correct words. so yes, my thoughts in my last post stem from complex ideas that would benefit from further explanation, but i am not the one with time for that. but to suggest they lead to nowhere is not justified. as apparently it at least leads to a prominent discussion on your heavily trafficked site. and that’s the whole point, we need to have more discussion about these issues instead of b__ching or violence. i find it wholly irresponsible to resort to the notion of violence. yeah, i’m not trying to approach writing about the Sean Bell fiasco. it would take too much time. but if i did i wouldn’t write some incendiary comment like “what are you going to do about it” (no offense rafi, but don't you wish you had more time?).
<br>
    lastly, my life would be significantly less filled with dissonance if i took the easy way out and defined my world through my latinoness. every social function as a youngster would have been this wondeful experience if i dedicated my time to learning salsa, speaking spanglish and dressing a certain way. instead i was stuck chillin at these parties di__in to hear some hip-hop. so yeah, i have heard of the term.
<br>
    i’m out, going to the epmd show!
<br>
    and before i go, a lot of people will see my time constraint as a cop out, but here’s a preemptive f____ you. my wife is 7 months pregnant and 3 fingers in my right hand are fractured and recovering.
<br>
    one time out!
